Welcome to New Salem Volunteer Fire Department!

What does it take to volunteer with the New Salem VFD?

We are looking members! Applicants must be over the age of 14, be of good moral character, reside in Menallen Township or petition the membership to have the residency requirement waived if they live within a reasonable distance of the township. Active members are required to attend meetings, fundraisers, alarm and trainings as well as contributing to the department. All training and equipment is provided free of charge to our membership. If you think that you have what it takes to be a member contact us immediately!!
